Sworn translation

In Türkiye, this is a translation prepared and signed by a sworn translator. The receiving institution may have additional requirements concerning signatures and delivery format.

Notarisation

Notarisation is a separate certification procedure that may be required for a translation. Having a sworn translation does not automatically mean notarisation is included. Check whether it is part of the quote scope.

Apostille

An apostille is a separate authentication procedure used for certain public documents in international contexts. Whether one is required, and which authority issues it, depend on the document and receiving country. Check current guidance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant competent authorities.

Quality in sworn translation and official documents

Names, dates, registration numbers and document completeness are part of translation checks. Translator authorisation, notarisation, apostilles and institutional acceptance must be verified separately for the country and procedure concerned.

Read the guide

These pages describe an approach to quality informed by publicly available standard scopes and official guidance. They do not claim ISO certification, full conformity or institutional acceptance for Metis Global. The work and responsibilities that apply to your project must be confirmed separately in the quote.
